As part of the GRI’s changing exhibitions, construction is scheduled to continue in the GRI lobby and galleries through this Friday, Sept. 16. There will be excessive noise attributed to this work. Additionally, starting Wednesday, a special lift will be brought into the lobby.
For this reason, the Plaza entrance will be closed this Wednesday, Sept. 14 – Friday, Sept. 16. During this time, anyone coming to the GRI – including Readers – will need to enter and exit through L2.
Regular access is scheduled to resume Monday, Sept. 19.
As part of the GRI’s changing exhibitions, the demolition of a temporary wall in the main gallery will take place this Saturday, Sept. 10, starting at 6:00 a.m. It is expected that this work will be completed by the end of the day.
Patrons sensitive to loud noise are advised not to use the library that day.
The Research Library will be closed to all readers on Monday, 9/5, in observance of Labor Day.
